Sourdough pizza diner "Gravity Pizza" opening in Camp North End

Gravity Pizza, a pizza diner specializing in sourdough pizzas, will open in Camp North End this fall.

Dig in: In addition to traditional pies, the wood-fired pizza will also come in specialty flavors like lemon ricotta, honey-glazed peach, and pepperoni ricotta hot honey, to name a few.

• They'll also serve sandwiches, salads and dessert.
• The drink menu will have canned beer, wine, seltzer and cider.
• Food will range between $10-$16, "with sandwiches and salads on the lower end and specialty pizzas on the higher end," per the press release.

• Gravity Pizza owners Alex Osterhoudt and Amanda Wagner also own an outdoor movie and entertainment company, Aurora Star Lit Cinema , which has hosted a few of at Camp North End's Crossroads Cinema and Be Kind, Rewind events.

Context: The couple started making sourdough bread and bagels, and eventually pizza, at home during the pandemic.

• "We thought it would be a great enhancement to add pizza to Aurora Star Lit Cinema movie showings," Wagner said. "Alex quickly got to work renovating a retro trailer we could use to cook and serve from at events."

Between the lines: Gravity Pizza isn't the only pandemic passion project turned brick-and-mortar at Camp North End. Dairy-free ice cream shop Seemingly Overzealous also began as a pandemic-era hobby that took off.

Stop by: Gravity Pizza will be located at 1824 Statesville Ave. , next to Canteen . They're aiming for a mid-to-late October opening date.

• To start, it'll open Wednesday-Thursday from 11am-10pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-11pm and Sundays 10am-9pm.
