1. 🎟️ Wicker Park Fest

Enjoy a three-day dance party at Wicker Park Fest , which turns 20 this year.

Why it matters: John Ugolini, talent buyer for Wicker Park Fest and Subterranean, says that roughly 40% of the music acts are local.

• "Being Chicago-centric with our programming and giving local artists and performers the opportunity onstage is very important."

Chicago native Jamila Woods will headline the festival with Superdrag , The Felice Brothers , La Luz , and Fiji Blue .

What to expect: Over 50 acts performing across three stages, activities for kids, pet areas, art installations, flamethrowers, and over 200 food and music vendors.

2. 🍽️ Taste of Lincoln Ave

• Enjoy food, arts and music from around the Midwest as Taste of Lincoln celebrates its 40th anniversary. If you go: 3–10pm Friday, and noon–10pm Saturday and Sunday. $10 suggested donation

3. 🪅 Fiesta Del Sol

• Promoted as the largest Latino Festival in the country, the mile-long street festival runs 3–10pm Thursday and 11am–10pm Friday–Sunday in Pilsen. Free

4. 🎵 The War and Treaty

• Watch this Grammy-nominated married duo perform at Pilsen's Thalia Hall on Sunday evening. General admission tickets are $30

5. 🎤 Vampire Weekend

• For two nights only, catch this rock concert featuring Maya Rudolph, Ra Ra Riot, and more. Tickets start at $41.30
• If you go: 6:30pm Friday and Saturday at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.

6. 🎭 iO Fest

• Laugh for four nights of improv, standup comedy and workshops. The Chicago comedy festival is Thursday–Sunday. General admission tickets are $30

• Stop by Malcolm X College for an arts, health, and wellness summit , 10–5pm Saturday. Free
