Prime Video docuseries featuring Chicago Sky's Angel Reese coming soon

The first look at the new series " The Money Game " is out now.

Why it matters: The six-part docuseries explores how the NCAA's policy on name, image and likeness rights (NIL) changed the lives of student athletes at Louisiana State University during the 2023-24 season, including Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese .

Flashback: In 2021, the NCAA implemented an interim policy that would allow athletes to profit from any use of their name, image or likeness, in everything from autographs to public appearances.

Zoom in: Illinois is one of the states where NIL compensation is signed into law, but there are still NCAA restrictions on the practice. Schools and athletic departments cannot pay athletes, for example.

The intrigue: The series features Reese during her college playing days, adding another high-profile media moment for the young megastar in the making.

• The series is produced by Axios Entertainment, Campfire Studios and Shaquille O'Neal's Jersey Legends, a division of Authentic Studios.
