Earlier this year an Avondale cat plopped his paw on some spinning pottery and blew up the internet.

Why it matters: Momo's pottery antics with his human Sophia Renata have racked up millions of social media views and caused their co-creations to fly off the proverbial online shelves.

What they're saying: "It's been quite a wild year," Renata tells Axios. "It's a true testament to how many people really love animals and are incredibly passionate about the arts. I'm really grateful to be part of it."

😺 The backstory: A Chicago native, ceramicist and art teacher, Renata only recently discovered Momo's talent.

    • While cats are often considered aloof, "his passion for getting involved … has been incredibly heartwarming. And having him be a part of my practice is just a lot of fun."

The bummer: "Momo loves being outside but doesn't love a harness so he may not make an appearance [at the fair] unfortunately," Renata tells Axios.

If you go: Renata will set up at Renegade on Division Street.

    • Momo and Renata's pieces range from $20 to $120.
