Fort Worth's Bowie House is on Time's list of greatest places

Time Magazine has named a Fort Worth boutique hotel one of this year's greatest places in the world.

• Fort Worth's Bowie House joins several high-profile destinations, including a bath house in Istanbul, an Iceland resort boasting views of the Northern Lights, luxurious camps in Antarctica and a cableway connecting Switzerland and Italy.

How it works: Last year's list featured 50 cities worth traveling to. Texas wasn't part of it.

• This year, Time took nominations of places such as hotels, cruise ships, restaurants and attractions before choosing 100 destinations worth visiting this year.

• The room decor includes hat racks, bar carts, boot benches and leather-wrapped furniture.
• They've also offered guest experiences, including trail rides, line dancing, private museum tours and personalizing a Texas rag tie .
