    This weekend in D.C., check out Oktoberfest celebrations around the city, DC Coffee Festival at Union Market, BBQ & Barrels at Nats Park, Art on the Avenue in Del Ray and more.


    1 big thing: 🌭 Bring on the bratwurst

    Put on your lederhosen and grab a stein. Oktoberfest is here.

    The vibe: The D.C. area has tons of options to celebrate the monthlong German tradition.

    Here are four places to go this weekend:

    🐷 Oktoberfest at Wunder Garten : Friday's pig roast is from 3-9pm. Enjoy beer, brats and games noon Saturday until midnight, and Dogtoberfest noon-3pm on Sunday. Free entry .

    🌭 Oktoberfest at The Wharf : Watch the Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash from 2 to 5pm and a Stein Hoisting Championship and Polka on the Pier at 5-7pm Saturday. Free entry .

    🍻 Aslin Beer Oktoberfest : Enjoy specials on giant pretzels, potato and cheddar pierogies, and griddled bratwurst at all Aslin locations noon-5pm Saturday. Free entry .

    πŸŽ‰ Vienna Oktoberfest : Taste wine and beer from five local restaurants, listen to live music and enjoy kid-friendly activities on Church Street 11am-7pm Saturday. Free entry.

    2. β˜• DC Coffee Festival

    • Enjoy coffee tastings and live music at Dock 5 at Union Market 9am-4:30pm Saturday and Sunday. General admission begins at 1:30pm. Tickets start at $29 .

    3. πŸ₯ƒ BBQ & Barrels

    • Eat barbecue from five local restaurants and taste bourbon, whiskey and rye from over 20 distilleries 3-6pm Saturday at Nats Park. Tasting tickets start at $75 .

    • Meet authors, listen to panel discussions, enjoy family-friendly activities and book signings 11am-3pm Sunday at Eastern Market. Free.

    6. 🎺 Capitol Battle of the Bands

    • Enjoy performances from seven HBCU bands 5pm Saturday at University of Maryland SECU Football Stadium. Tickets start at $39 .

    7. πŸ–ΌοΈ Ayiti is…: A Haitian Art Experience

    • View Haitian culture and tradition through a collection of art 5-9pm Saturday at 11:Eleven Gallery. Tickets start at $15 .

    9. 🌺 Dance Sanctuaries

    • Learn how to hula with Kaimana Chee at The Kennedy Center 10:30am, 11:45am and 1pm Saturday. Free.

    10. 🎨 Art on the Avenue

    • Enjoy art, family-friendly activities, food and live music 10am-6pm Saturday in Del Ray. Free entry.
