Colorado's food scene is on fire — and the nation is noticing.

The latest: Three local restaurants made the New York Times' annual list of the 50 best in America , out Wednesday.

Why it matters: Colorado can't stop, won't stop when it comes to collecting culinary accolades .

Zoom in: Two of the standout spots are right here in Denver.

Zoom out: Meander Eatery — a New American, farm-to-table restaurant in Pagosa Springs — was recognized for its "unapologetically eclectic" menu.

    • "Particularly on a warm evening, a table on the back deck is the perfect place to have dinner and watch the San Juan River, well, meander by," NYT's Brian Gallagher writes.

The bottom line: Reservations at all three spots are sure to go quick, so better move fast.
