    This may be Woodward Dream Cruise weekend, but there's so much more than that to do.

    ๐Ÿš˜ Car folks, it's your time to shine โ€” the Woodward Dream Cruise is here with classic car shows, a " Cruise in Shoes " 5K run/walk, a lights and sirens parade, music, food and vendors all along M1 from around Ferndale to Pontiac.


    • Saturday, 9am-9pm. Mostly free!

    ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Are you Kenough? Find the answer (maybe) by watching the "Barbie" movie outdoors at New Center Park, with free concessions and giveaways.

    • Friday, 7pm. Free!

    ๐ŸŽค Crowd in for the Afro Nation festival , with headliner Lil Wayne, on the former Brewster-Douglass homes site. Expect artists and DJs bringing Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B and more.

    • Saturday, 2pm. $99 weekend passes or $70 day passes for Saturday or Sunday.

    ๐Ÿ”ฎ Cross the border to check out a psychic and crystal fair in Windsor with mediums, astrologers, tea leaf readers and vendors selling crystals and jewelry.

    • Friday, 2-10pm; Saturday, 11am-10pm, and Sunday, 11am-6pm. Tickets are about $9.

    ๐Ÿป The former UFO Factory bar and music spot in Corktown is reopening as UFO Bar under new ownership. This weekend is the grand opening party .

    • Friday, 6pm-2am.

    ๐ŸŽถ Join City Council President Mary Sheffield at her " Occupy the Corner " event with Detroit native rapper Kash Doll, plus carnival rides, a backpack giveaway, food, haircuts and braiding.

    • Friday, 5-8pm. Free!

    ๐Ÿ‘‚ Be seen at a Spot Lite listening party celebrating the release of the debut album from We Are Scorpio, a rock duo including Detroit poet laureate jessica Care moore .

    • Friday, 6-9pm.

    ๐Ÿ Embrace pollinators with Bee Fest at the Belle Isle Nature Center . Learn about the role bees play in nature, learn how to care for them from beekeepers, taste honey and do crafts.

    • Saturday, 11am-4pm. Free!
