    Playoff baseball returns to Detroit

    The Tigers are finally home for the playoffs .

    Why it matters: After knotting the series 1-1 with Cleveland on Monday, Detroit hosts its first playoff games since 2014 Wednesday and Thursday at Comerica Park.


    State of play: Game 3 in the best-of-five series is at 3:08pm. TBS is broadcasting.

    • Tickets on the secondary market Tuesday ranged from a little less than $200 to more than $1,000.
    • Game 4 is Thursday at 6:08pm on TNT. If necessary, Game 5 will be Saturday in Cleveland.

    🍩 The intrigue: Playoff concessions at Comerica Park will feature new fall-inspired items, from coney-inspired pierogi to cider and donuts, the Free Press reports .

    • Pro tip: Don't forget that cash isn't accepted at Comerica. The stadium has kiosks to transfer cash onto a temporary Visa card, per the Freep .

    What's next: Tigers manager A.J. Hinch will announce Game 3's starting pitcher Wednesday morning, the Detroit News reports .

    • Detroit will face Guardians right-hand pitcher Alex Cobb, who has battled injuries this season, only starting three games.
