BOGO Houston Theater Week returns with more deals

Houston Theater Week kicks off Monday with buy-one-get-one-free ticket deals.

Why it matters: The third annual, weeklong event is a chance for Houstonians to snag a good deal and for venues and shows to get more exposure.

Details: More than 250 shows and concerts are available among the 22 participating organizations, ranging from resident organizations such as the Houston Grand Opera to community musical groups like Kinetic Ensemble.

How it works: Use the code HOUARTS to buy tickets until Sunday.

Flashback: In 2022, Houston's Theater District collaborated with Houston First Corp. to launch the initiative , inspired by New York City's Broadway Week .

• The annual promotion has now generated more than $1.5 million in ticket sales.

What they're saying: "Not only does the revenue generated through ticket sales keep artists and other creative professionals working, it strengthens our already vibrant theater scene and exposes new audiences to a range of cultural performances by some of the best talent in the world at a discount," Houston Theater District chair Hillary Hart said in a statement.
