Miami's Chroma Art Film Festival returns later this month for its second year, screening AI-driven films and other futuristic works.

The big picture : The immersive festival has billed itself as "the first of its kind to include a category dedicated to 100% AI-generated videos," a category it debuted last year.

Details: The Aug. 17-18 festival, to be held at Superblue Miami in collaboration with Rainbow Oasiiis , will feature a "collection of films and video art that transcends traditional storytelling, immersing viewers in a deeply compelling cinematic spectacle."

    • That includes experimental work, documentaries, animations, and virtual reality creations – an experience where "color, light, sound, and AI-generated narratives converge."

What's new: The festival expanded its categories to include music video, student films and new media.

If you go: Tickets start at $50. Children under 12 enter free.
