Cote Miami offers Michelin-star flavors for a discount during Miami Spice

A ceiling-high mirrored door transports you into Cote Miami, the Michelin-star Korean steakhouse in the Design District.

State of plate: I stopped by last week to try out their Miami Spice offer , a three-course lunch for $35 .

The vibes: I felt like I was in an episode of " The Bear " – without the stress.

    • Servers wearing matching pins whisk plates on and off your table with the precision of a surgical team.
    • It felt exclusive, but not pretentious. I learned it was pronounced "Cote" like a winter coat, and not with an accent on the "e."

What I ordered: The tuna tartare with crispy gim chips was probably the most delicious bite of the day, but Cote's steak sandwich was the true MVP, because it thumbs its nose at the pomp and circumstance of fine dining.

    • The Optimus Prime — a Miami Spice exclusive — comes with prime rib on a French baguette with provolone cheese.
    • It's served with some pickled radish and horseradish to cut the richness. (Add steak fries for $4 to get the full experience.)

Something sweet: Cote keeps the laid-back vibes going with dessert, a scoop of vanilla soft serve topped with a soy sauce caramel and served in a paper cup.
