Heat's Jimmy Butler stars in new Netflix show with LeBron James

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler will star alongside LeBron James in a new Netflix docuseries following the NBA's top basketball stars on and off the court.

Why it matters: Butler has already introduced national audiences to his fun personality through commercials with Michelob Ultra and State Farm , but this will be his first big break as a TV star.

Details: "Starting 5," premiering Oct. 9, will bring fans a behind-the-scenes look at the 2023-2024 NBA season through the vantage point of five NBA All-Stars.

• Butler and James (Los Angeles Lakers) will be joined by Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings)

Zoom in: Butler shares a lot of his life with his Instagram followers — from his love of dominos to his other job as owner of BigFace coffee — but the docuseries will provide even more access into his day-to-day life.

👀 What we want to see: An inside look at Butler's decision to rock an "emo" punk hairstyle for NBA media day, his celebrity friendships with Neymar Jr. and Camila Cabello , and lots of trash talk .
