Riverfront redevelopment plan approved

The ambitious plan to revitalize the Cumberland riverfront in West Nashville received unanimous approval last week from the Planning Commission.

Why it matters: The Rock Harbor Marina development project will include restaurant, residential and recreational uses on the river.

• The long-running Blue Moon Waterfront Grille will continue to serve as an anchor for the project.

State of play: A Dallas development firm unveiled its initial plan last year then fine-tuned the proposal after substantial community feedback.
