Our Will Levis mayonnaise perfume review

Earlier this month, we shared news of Titans quarterback Will Levis' new, mayonnaise-inspired fragrance from Hellmann's.

The latest: The limited edition product went for $8 and has sold out. Bottles are available on eBay at a hefty markup .

Between the lines: The tongue-in-cheek fragrance, called "Will Levis No. 8," built on the inside joke about the quarterback's fixation with the creamy condiment.

• Levis already scored a lifetime supply of Hellmann's last summer . And a local coffee shop launched a mayo mocha in his honor.

Zoom in: Hellmann's described the scent as "Tart Lemon, Mayonnaise Accord, Parsley, Coffee Undertones, Musk and Creamy Vanilla."

We were eager to test the fragrance when our bottle recently arrived in the mail.

💭 Adam's thought bubble: I'm something of a mayonnaise aficionado. As I write this, I have access to multiple varieties of Hellmann's mayo in my home.

• But I'm not getting mayonnaise from this fragrance. There was some lemon, but it was much more floral than I expected — like a strong potpourri.

The bottom line: Will Levis No. 8 is not in the running to become my favorite Hellmann's product. But I do recommend their new garlic aioli dip with fries.
