Dolly Parton expands her kitchen empire

The Dolly-of-all-trades has done it again: Dolly Parton partnered with Tennessee-made Lodge Cast Iron to create a collection of skillets, a trivet and a skillet clock.

Why it matters: The Lodge collab isn't Parton's first foray into your kitchen.

State of plate: She has mac and cheese, frozen pies and cake mixes with Duncan Hines.

    • Last Thursday, she announced her Chardonnay with Dolly Wines.
    • And — depending on where you eat your doughnuts, no judgment — a Krispy Kreme collection .

What to watch: The Tennessee icon's seasoned cast iron cookware has imprints of her face, guitar and signature butterfly, depending on the skillet size.

    • But perhaps best is the 8-inch Jolene skillet. Music notes circle the pun "Please don't take my pan."
    • "[E]ach piece is as cookable as it is collectible," Lodge writes on its website.

Between the layers: The South Pittsburg, Tennessee, company has been in business since 1896.

    • Tennessee-made. Just like Dolly.

Zoom out: "If you're like us, you believe that good food and good times are the next best thing to pure love," Parton wrote in a March Instagram post announcing her cookbook. "So take a journey with us, into the kitchen."

    • The "Good Lookin' Cookin'" cookbook, created with her sister Rachel, comes out Tuesday.

What's next: Parton's symphony show debuts next year, and her Broadway musical hits the stage in 2026.

💭 Katie's thought bubble: Nashville born-and-bred, I'm a sucker for all things Dolly. My parents met while working at Opryland, where Parton was known to be friendly with autograph-seekers between show tapings.

    • And years ago, while attending a "9 to 5" dress rehearsal at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Parton herself was seated a few rows in front of me. When a technical snafu delayed the production, she jumped right up on stage to entertain so the cast and crew could make changes.
    • My kids and I made her brownies last week. Never been a brownie fan, but if you'd like a review, I ate the last three once they were asleep.
