Nashville mayor releases interactive transportation maps

    By Nate Rau,

Nashville residents can use a new interactive map to look up new sidewalks, bike lanes and bus routes their neighborhood could receive under Mayor Freddie O'Connell's $3.1 billion transportation improvement plan .

Why it matters: O'Connell has proposed raising the sales tax in Nashville by half a cent to pay for the plan. The new map shows residents what they would receive in return for the higher taxes.

How it works: The map allows you to search for your address and zoom in on your corner of the city. The interactive tool shows existing infrastructure and bus lines as well as the additions O'Connell proposes under his plan.

    • In addition to sidewalks, bike lanes and bus service, the map shows proposed extensions of the city's greenway system.

Zoom in: O'Connell's plan would upgrade 600 traffic signals to address congestion. It would also expand hours and double the frequency of service for WeGo buses.
