The Fayetteville City Council meets tonight in regular session and will consider:

    • Spending about $41,600 for a temporary (six months) staff member responsible for enforcing short-term rental rules.
    • Approving an approximately $9.2 million contract with Benchmark Construction for improvements to College Avenue from North to Sycamore streets. The work will include striping, utility relocation, sidewalk/trail installation and medians.
    • Applying for a matching grant of up to $250,000 from the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism for improvements to Walker and Bryce Davis parks. Specifically, the Outdoor Recreation Grants would help pay for dog park improvements at Bryce Davis and pickleball courts at Walker.

If you go: 5:30pm at Fayetteville City Hall or online .
