What we're sipping: Confident Coffee

Those of us who don't live at the Pinnacle Heights apartments in Rogers may not have stumbled onto the businesses accompanying the dwellings. I will give you a good reason — Confident Coffee .

State of play: It makes all kinds of sense to open a coffee shop right where people live (hello, built-in regulars). But you don't need to live there to come grab a coffee and hang out at this welcoming shop, where I can see myself plopping down with my laptop all morning.

What to try: A specialty latte. The menu offers seven options, like a lavender or mint mocha latte.

• I went with the signature The Confident Latte ($4.75 for a 12-ounce) with vanilla and ginger, mostly because I was intrigued by ginger as a latte flavor. I'm happy to report it's a nice flair.

Stop by: 7am-6pm weekdays, 8am-6pm Saturday and 8am-3pm Sunday at 3939 S. Grand Ave., Suite 112, in Rogers.
