Moff's Pizza serves some of Fayetteville's best pizza out of a food truck

A food truck next to Los Compas , one of my fave taco haunts on Fayetteville's Dickson Street, serves one of my fave foods. I finally made it by.

The set up: The menu at Moff's Pizza is limited to a few of the usual suspects — cheese, pepperoni, Margherita, supreme and vegan. Some are available by-the-slice and some are only available as whole pies.

    • I tried a version of the supreme with pepperoni, sausage, jalapeños and mushrooms ($32).

The good: This is delish pizza. The crust is crispy without being cracker-thin. It's reminiscent of a sourdough, though I don't think it is.

    • The red sauce is hearty with a hint of spice that elevates any topping and the cheese is velvety smooth.
    • There's only one giant size: 16-inch.

The bad: Ordering is done onsite; no phone calls. The website offers online ordering, but I wasn't successful in getting it to work.

    • The mandate at the top of the online menu reads, "Order at the window."
    • Introverts who just want to sit and watch TV at home will have to wait in the shared food truck dining space for their food and may have to buy a Chewk's cookie to pass the time.

Hours: Moff's is only open Thursday through Sunday from 5-8pm, so plan your spontaneity.

Check it out: At 205 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville, in the Puritan Coffee food truck lot.
