    Things to do this weekend in Philadelphia: New Milk Jawn opens and Drexel's Basketball Tournament

    ๐Ÿ“ It's First Friday , so you know what that means: Keep an eye out for exhibits and events happening in Old City and throughout the city.

    ๐Ÿ“ฐ It's your last couple days to check out the Historical Society of Pennsylvania's political cartoon exhibition . Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Signe Wilkinson will give a talk on Friday, the final day of the exhibit, highlighting her decadeslong career and the history of political cartooning.


    ๐Ÿจ The new Milk Jawn in Northern Liberties is open. The scoop shop has expanded since starting in co-owner Amy Wilson's kitchen and now has two storefronts. They have fun incarnations and vegan options.

    ๐ŸŽ‚ Happy birthday, Sesame Place. The amusement park in Langhorne celebrates the big 44 this week with a huge bash, including Elmo and all your favorite characters. The kids will enjoy the scavenger hunt and Saturday's fireworks show. Through Aug. 4

    ๐ŸŽค Country singer Jason Aldean takes the stage at Camden's Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Friday at 7:30pm. The "Country Desperado" artist will play some of his biggest hits. Tickets: $57+

    ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Rapper Ice Spice, who just released her first full-length album, "Y2K!," is playing at The Met on Friday at 9pm. Tickets: $64+

    ๐ŸงŠ Explore exhibits for free at the Science History Institute's after-hours event on Friday. This month's lesson, Deep Freeze , focuses on the science behind keeping our treats cool. Bonus: free ice cream sandwiches. 5-7pm.

    ๐ŸŽจ Old City gallery Arch Enemy Arts hosts a reception with nine exhibitions, including two contemporary art shows with dozens of artists. Friday, 5-9pm.

    ๐Ÿ… Want to emulate your favorite Olympic athlete? Stop by Family Field Day at FDR Park on Saturday. Youth sports and an Olympic Ring Challenge plus music, food trucks, face painting and free ice cream. 10am-2pm.

    ๐Ÿ€ Don't dribble it off your foot now. The Basketball Tournament , featuring some of the best college alumni squads, is back in Philly at Drexel with $1 million on the line.

    • The semifinal is Friday, and they'll crown a champ Sunday. Tickets : $42+
