    A duckpin bowling bar is adding a location in downtown Raleigh

    Pins Mechanical Co. , a bar with games like duckpin bowling and pinball, will open its first Triangle location at Raleigh's Seaboard Station .

    Why it matters: One of the largest residential developments in downtown Raleigh, Seaboard Station has added several notable retailers in recent months, including a distillery , Club Pilates, the restaurant Biscuit Belly , a sushi restaurant , Starbucks and several more.


    • The project — built by Washington, D.C. developer Hoffman & Associates — is also adding hundreds of apartment units and a hotel to the area near William Peace University.

    What to expect: The Ohio-based company has signed a lease for 27,000 square feet in the bottom of The Miles apartment building and is expected to open late next year.

    • In addition to games like duckpin bowling, ping pong and arcade games, Pins will serve cocktails, craft beers and mocktails.
    • Raleigh will be the company's 13th location. It has two in Charlotte.

    Location: 10 W. Franklin St.
