Our team is particular about breakfast burritos. They must have the proper balance of ingredients, the perfect consistency of scrambled eggs and the right amount of protein — bonus points for the inclusion of some kind of potato.
- We've rounded up our favorite breakfast burritos in the Triangle. They're listed below in no particular order.

A cult-favorite food truck just north of downtown, Mr. Burro serves Mexican-inspired breakfast burritos, quesadillas and more.
- Its burritos are arguably addicting, as evidenced by the many regulars who line up outside the truck, which posts up at a gas station off Six Forks.
- They're relatively affordable, too. Burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches and bowls all start at $11. Chilaquiles are $12. And don't sleep on the sauces.

On weekdays , Durham's Monuts adds an excellent breakfast burrito to its offerings of doughnuts and sandwiches.
- Their main offering is a bacon and guac burrito ($12.50), featuring queso fresco, maple sriracha home fries and scrambled eggs. But a killer chorizo version makes an appearance occasionally.
- Take it from us that a savory burrito goes perfectly with a glazed doughnut.

Home of Lucille's favorite burrito in Raleigh — and possibly everywhere, ever — (ish) delicatessen identifies as a sandwich shop that's "Not-Quite-Jewish" and "a little Italian-ish."
- The spot is well-frequented at lunchtime, but it also serves top-notch breakfast, including its inhaleable breakfast burrito, which starts at $10. Add avocado for an extra $2 and dunk it in the cilantro sour cream it comes with and you'll hear the angels sing (maybe).
