Watch out for clowns at South Richmond stoplights

Richmond is Richmond'ing.

The big picture: A TikTok last week captioned "POV: You are driving through RVA" shows clowns — yes, actual clowns — juggling at the intersection of Hull Street and Warwick Road in South Richmond while the light is red.

• Then the camera pans to a clown who has decided to play peek-a-boo outside the car's right window and (probably) scare the 96,000-plus people who've viewed the video.

Karri's thought bubble: As a Southside dweller, this 100% tracks. Pop-up parking lot carnivals, major roadways closed in all directions for months, impassioned protests over gas stations ... and, sure, clowns and jugglers in the middle of the road.

• It's why Southside is the best side.

Sabrina's thought bubble: I respect it but will be avoiding that intersection until further notice and hoping there are no more "IT" movies in the works because I simply can't go through the clown sightings of 2016 again.

The bottom line: Consider wearing diapers while driving if, like Sabrina, you scare easily.
