Latitude Seafood's Chesterfield location opens Monday with water views and a patio bar

Latitude Seafood Co.'s newest location opens Monday, Aug. 19, in the Duckridge Landing development in Chesterfield.

Why it matters: The spot boasts the same seafood-heavy menu , stellar weekly specials and chill vibes as its other Richmond locations. Plus, new to this one — waterfront views.

State of play: The trio of Latitude owners — Kevin Grubbs, Jonathan Knizatko and Jenatha Robinson — opened their original location in the Westchester Commons shopping center in 2015.

    • Since then they added two others, one at Stony Point Fashion Park and an outpost in Maryland.

Zoom in: When Grubbs inked the deal on the fourth location earlier this year, he told BizSense it had long been his dream to open a restaurant on the Swift Creek Reservoir, near where he grew up.

    • The new spot takes advantage of those reservoir views with a full patio and an outdoor bar, plus ample indoor seating.
    • Highlights from the all-day menu include oysters Rockefeller ($20 for a half-dozen), jumbo scallops ($33.70) and a chicken dish with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes ($18.90), plus sandwiches and bowls.
    • Be sure to check out the weekday specials, like Alaskan crab leg night, happy hours and Taco Tuesday.

If you go: Latitude Seafood's Chesterfield spot is at 14440 Hull Street Road between Brandermill and Woodlake and open daily for lunch and dinner.
