Things to do in Richmond this weekend: a carnival, RuPaul's Drag Race and barbecue

Thursday, Sept. 5

📸 The Valentine will have a panel of Style Weekly photographers talking about what it's been like to capture Richmond over the past several decades. 6-7:30pm. $15.

🌆 JT from the rap duo City Girls is performing at the National. 8pm. Tickets are available by resale only.

💅 RuPaul's Drag Race fans: The Altria Theater has the All Stars from Season Nine, like Angeria, Roxxxy Andrews and more for a live show. 8pm. Tickets start at $49.50.

Friday, Sept. 6

🎡 Chesterfield Towne Center has a carnival running Friday through Sept. 15. Admission is free Monday through Thursday and $5 on weekends. $37 for unlimited rides .

Saturday, Sept. 7

🐽 "East of Blue Ridge Barbecue" at River City Roll is a dog-friendly parking lot party with music and, more important, barbecue all day. 1-9pm. $10.

🌈 The Hof in Scott's Addition is kicking off Pride Week with a Rainbow Gala. 8-11:59pm. Tickets start at $25 .

Sunday, Sept. 8

🎷 As Barry from "Bee Movie" would say: "Ya like jazz?" Jazz at the Fountain is back at Byrd Park with Desiree Roots. 4pm. Free.

🎶 Hardywood on Ownby Lane has a vinyl record pop-up market . Noon-5pm. Free, unless you have no self-control when it comes to buying vinyl records.
