It's time for Fall Richmond Restaurant Week 2024

Fall Richmond Restaurant Week starts Monday.

Why it matters: Restaurant Week helps promote Richmond's independently-owned restaurants and serves as a major fundraiser for Feed More, the region's food pantry.

The big picture: For more than 20 years, the RRW nonprofit run by Acacia midtown co-owner Aline Reitzer has coordinated the twice-annual, weeklong dining event.

    • RRW brings together dozens of local restaurants, which put together a special three-course menu for $35.24 per person, with $5.24 going to Feed More .
    • The fall event starts Monday, Oct. 21 and runs through Sunday.
    • Around 30 restaurants are participating; menus are posted on their websites.

    Newcomers for the fall are:

Out since spring: Odyssey Fish , the West End Mid-Atlantic seafood spot, which closed over the summer.

If you go: Reservations are strongly recommended and often easier to find earlier in the week than on Friday and Saturday.

    • All you have to do is visit any of the participating restaurants and eat.
