5 Warriors games we're looking forward to next season

We officially know when Klay Thompson will make his return to the Chase Center, thanks to the NBA's Thursday release of the 2024-25 schedule.

Driving the news: Thompson, who left the Dubs for the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, will face the Warriors on Nov. 12 at the Chase Center as part of the Emirates NBA Cup, formerly known as the In-season Tournament.

Other notable regular-season matchups: A 2021-22 NBA Finals rematch against the reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics on Nov. 6 in Boston.

• A Christmas Day game against Benjamin Button, aka LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers. There's also a chance we'll get to see his son Bronny James play in a regular-season game at the Chase Center.
• While the Utah Jazz are not a big rival for the Dubs, the Oct. 25 game in Utah will be a fun reminder of the Warriors' unsuccessful attempt to trade for 7-footer Lauri Markkanen .
• Golden State won't face the Sacramento Kings, who knocked the Dubs out of playoff contention last season, until Jan. 5 at the Chase Center. We'll be eager to see what impact forward DeMar DeRozan , traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Kings during the offseason, has on the squad.
