Warriors head coach Steve Kerr: Let's tell Trump "Night, night"

The Democratic National Convention is in full swing and the Bay Area has come out to play.

Driving the news: The DNC kicked off Monday in Chicago with President Biden passing the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic party's nominee.

• He was joined by several speakers from the Bay Area, including Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis, who lives in San Francisco, and others.

The intrigue: Joining as an unannounced guest was Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, where he busted out Stephen Curry's "night night" celebration to tell former President Trump the country is done with him.

What they're saying: "After the results are tallied ... we can — in the words of the great Steph Curry — we can tell Donald Trump, 'Night, night,'" Kerr joked , giving a nod to Curry's taunt .

What's next: Other expected DNC speakers and attendees with San Francisco ties, besides Harris, of course, include Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rev. Amos Brown of The Third Baptist Church of San Francisco and Mayor London Breed, The San Francisco Standard reports .
