Saturday marks Rondo Days , a chance to remember and celebrate the St. Paul neighborhood's legacy and history .

Context: Parts of the predominantly Black neighborhood were demolished in the 1950s and 60s to make way for I-94, upending the community and displacing hundreds of families.

    • Now in its 40th year, the annual celebration has grown to become the largest African American sponsored festival in Minnesota, per its site.

What to expect: An all-day lineup of live music from artists like MC Lyte, Rakim and Lady Midnight, cultural activities, a marketplace and food vendors.
