Minnesota primary voters will set the November match-up for U.S. Senate tonight.

The big picture: More than a dozen candidates are running across the DFL and GOP primaries.

    • But the only real contest is on the Republican side, where voters will pick a nominee to go up against U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar in the general election.

Zoom in: Royce White, a former NBA player who secured the Republican Party endorsement in May, and Naval veteran Joe Fraser are the two leading candidates for the GOP nod.

The other side: Klobuchar faces four challengers on the ballot, but neither have staged a serious campaign.

The bottom line: Polls close at 8pm.
