First Friday celebrates donuts, museums

Donuts, museums and live music are among the attractions at Ayden’s upcoming First Friday.

The June 7 activities start at 6:30 a.m. at Gwendy’s Goodies, 4221 Lee St., Ayden.

It will be National Donut Day and Gwendy’s will be offering buy one donut, get one free with a limit on three free donuts.

The band Oakdale Drive will perform from 5-7 p.m. and pizza will be served.

June 3-9 is National Museum Week and the Ayden Museum, 554 Second St., Ayden, will open at 10:30 a.m.

Quilts in the Park will be on display beginning at 4 p.m., Ayden Veterans Memorial Park, West Third Street, Ayden.

Downtown Ayden Inc./Main Street will be offering free hot dogs, chips and drink from Jaamerican Hog Dogs beginning at 6 p.m. at the West Avenue stage area.

DJ Lady B will supply music for Summer Dancing in the Streets.
