Two members of the Harvard Boy Scouts Troop One, Bromfield seniors Jack Stahl and Logan Ostaszewski, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout this year. Both had to complete an Eagle Project, a capstone that “takes about a year to bring to fruition,” according to Troop One Scoutmaster Gary Madison.

With semesterly housing rates approaching $10,000 per semester, Northeastern dorms are more than 25% pricier than they were 20 years ago, when accounting for inflation. Off-campus housing isn’t much cheaper — a recent report ranked Northeastern the eighth most expensive college to live off-campus in the United States, just behind Harvard (ranked seventh) and Boston University (ranked sixth). The report found that students living off campus at Northeastern can expect to pay around $3,400 a month.

MIAMI — On a column next to Jarren Duran’s locker in the Red Sox’ clubhouse at Fenway Park, a two-page letter from Major League Baseball is posted for everyone to see. The letter, addressed directly to Duran, is from Michael Hill, the league’s senior vice president of on-field operations. It’s an official warning that Duran violated policies by wearing a custom-made undershirt that says “F--- ‘Em.” in a postgame interview with NESN’s Jahmai Webster after Duran hit a walk-off single to beat the Blue Jays in a comeback win June 24. One page of the letter is Hill’s warning that Duran shouldn’t be seen on TV wearing a shirt with expletives on it. Red Sox roster: Lefty reliever joins team in Miami ahead of possible move
MIAMI — Left-handed reliever Cam Booser rejoined the Red Sox on Thursday in Miami, but he wasn’t activated before Boston’s series finale against the Marlins. Booser, who was optioned to Triple-A as part of a series of roster moves on June 24, joined the club as a member of the taxi squad. He’ll likely travel to New York ahead of a three-game series that begins Friday. Unless someone is hurt and needs to be placed on the injured list, Booser can’t be added to the active roster until Tuesday (July 9), which marks 15 days since he was optioned to Worcester.
