FARGO, N. Dak. — Three Roseburg wrestlers finished on the podium at the National Greco-Roman Championships in Fargo, North Dakota on Saturday at the Fargodome. Drew Dawson and Daniel Patrick both earned All-American status in the 16U Cadet Division. Dawson, the 9-seed at 100 pounds, upset 5-seed Coy Mehlert from Iowa with a technical fall to finish in fifth place. Daniel Patrick, the 12-seed at 157 pounds, got a technical fall over 4-seed Max Harris from Kansas to place fifth.

Fire restrictions are in effect for all Bureau of Land Management public lands throughout the Northwest Oregon District. BLM leaders encourage all visitors to be aware of active restrictions and closures as warmer, drier weather sets in around the Pacific Northwest. As independent physician practices dwindle, corporate ownership of medical practices is at an all-time high. Large hospitals continue to expand their footprint, furthering a decades-long trend of consolidation. More recently, new corporate entities are acquiring physician groups, headlined by private equity companies, retailers such as Walgreens and Amazon, and insurance companies. Today, UnitedHealthcare is the largest employer of physicians in the nation. These trends of corporate consolidation are pervasive here in Oregon, raising urgent questions about the ownership and control over Oregon’s health care delivery system.

ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOR LITTERING INCIDENT
Roseburg Police cited a man for a littering incident on Sunday. An RPD report said at 9:30 a.m. the 52-year-old was contacted at his camp in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The camp was surrounded by trash approximately thirty yards from the bank of the South Umpqua River. The man admitted the trash was his and was given the citation.
