After facing backlash and making updates, Oregon takes another shot at property wildfire risk maps
PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon has released a new version of a set of maps that show wildfire risk for every property in the state. The maps, which are still in draft form, will be used to determine which properties meet the criteria for future regulations that could create mandates for defensible space around homes and stricter building codes in fire-prone areas.
