1 dead, 2 others hospitalized in south Phoenix shooting

Police were investigating a triple shooting in south Phoenix that left one of the victims dead.

At about 3 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a shooting in a residential area near South 19th and West Onley avenues, according to Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Brian Bower. A trailhead into South Mountain is nearby.

Officers found two men and a woman with gunshot wounds, Bower said. One of the men, Jeremy Carra, 30, was pronounced dead, and the other two victims were in stable condition at the hospital, Bower said.

People suspected of being involved in the shooting drove north on 19th Avenue after the incident, he said.
