'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' popcorn bucket: Where to get yours in Arizona

It's showtime! "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," the sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 classic "Beetlejuice," opens in theaters across the country on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024. With this highly anticipated release, theaters are debuting specialty "Beetlejuice" inspired popcorn buckets available for purchase.

Each participating theater chain will have its own Beetlejuice merch, including cups and other items, meaning you could collect them all.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” sees the return of Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, and, of course, Michael Keaton in the titular role, with Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux joining the cast.

Where can I buy a Beetlejuice popcorn bucket?

Movie theaters across the country — including AMC, Harkins, Regal and Cinemark in metro Phoenix — all plan to release "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" popcorn buckets.

Will AMC have a Beetlejuice popcorn bucket?

Yes. AMC Theatres announced on its Instagram that it would be selling a popcorn bucket that appears to resemble "The Handbook for the Recently Deceased" from the original movie. From the looks of the Instagram post, it seems like AMC will also be selling a variety of "Beetlejuice" inspired cups.

The popcorn bucket will be available starting Sept. 6.

Harkins Beetlejuice popcorn buckets

Harkins Theatres will also have a "Beetlejuice"-inspired popcorn bucket, per its Facebook page .

The bucket is clear with broad black stripes and the "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" movie logo on two sides, a small pool of green orbs at the bottom with a tombstone sticking out.

Will Cinemark have a Beetlejuice popcorn bucket?

According to the Cinemark Facebook page , it will have a jack-in-the-box style light-up popcorn bucket that includes a figurine of Betelgeuse on the top.

The Cinemark popcorn buckets are available now for preorder at shopcinemark.com and cost $24.99 each.

Will Regal have Beetlejuice popcorn buckets?

Regal will also be selling the Handbook for the Recently Deceased popcorn bucket.

The chain will also have a cup with a topper and a tombstone popcorn collectible as a combo with the bucket.

The buckets and the combo will be available to purchase once "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" hits theaters on Sept. 6.

What is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice about?

Set 36 years after the events of the first film, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" sees the Deetz family returning to Winter River after Charles' unexpected death.

When Lydia's (Winona Ryder) rebellious teenage daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic, she accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife, releasing Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) once again.
