FX’s historical drama “Shōgun” set a record when it took home 18 wins at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday night. It is the first non-English show to win best drama and stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai are the first Japanese actors to receive an Emmy Award.

It took showrunners a whopping 10 years to get this show to your screens, and now it seems the patience, tenacity and talent have paid off.

Based on the 1975 novel by James Clavell, “Shōgun” follows an English sailor who finds himself shipwrecked in Japan and is irrevocably changed by the unfamiliar culture and becomes entangled in the complex political dynamics.

Here’s where you can watch “Shōgun” at home.
