Arizona restaurants continue to receive high praise from travelers as three − one in Phoenix and two in popular tourist spots outside the Valley − ranked high in Tripadvisor's 2024 Travelers' Choice Awards .
The travel website recently issued its annual Best of the Best restaurants list, which recognizes the nation's top restaurants based on ratings and reviews by TripAdvisor users. This year's list is divided into nine categories: fine dining, date night, casual dining, hidden gems, quick bites, pet-friendly, vegan and vegetarian, outdoor dining and sustainable dining.
Arizona's 2024 honorees include a long-running Italian restaurant in Sedona and a fried chicken restaurant in Page. Cocina Madrigal in Phoenix , which is temporarily closed after a fire, was named the No. 21 hidden gem restaurant.
Tripadvisor users frequently lavish praise on Sedona and Page. Both were named among the best places to visit in 2023 , and Sedona maintained the designation in 2024 . Horseshoe Bend , the Instagram famous landmark near Page, was named the No. 14 U.S. attraction of 2024 .

Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante Italiano , a farm-to-table Italian restaurant that has been part of Sedona's culinary scene for 26 years, was named the No. 7 date night restaurant in the U.S.
TripAdvisor users mentioned the quality of the food along with the wine list, service and romantic ambiance - including a piano player - as highlights of their experiences. Most reviewers said they visited the restaurant to celebrate special occasions.
Why TripAdvisor users love BirdHouse in Page
The Page fried chicken emporium BirdHouse maintains its rank from Tripadvisor's 2023 awards as the No. 6 best quick bite restaurant in the U.S., continued validation of the restaurant's claim that they serve the "best tasting fried chicken in town."
At BirdHouse, about 2 miles east of the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook along Lake Powell, people can order chicken breasts, thighs, legs, wings and tenders in original, spicy and honey butter varieties. They can pair their chicken with a wide selection of sauces and sides, as well as local craft beers.
Tripadvisor users noted the restaurant has the ambiance of a fast food restaurant, but the quality of the food made up for it, with the chicken described as moist on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Tripadvisor is not the only national website that highly recommends BirdHouse. In August, Yelp named it the best fried chicken restaurant in Arizona .
