Though Arizona Snowbowl may make you think of chilly winter months, the popular ski resort in Flagstaff is taking full advantage of the fall season.

Snowbowl recently announced the opening of scenic gondola rides to view fall colors, which will be daily starting on Sept. 30.

The gondolas take riders 11,500 feet above the ground, giving them a bird's-eye view of the vibrant colors on Mount Humphreys.

Gondola rides are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunset rides are available Fridays and Saturdays, creating the perfect opportunity to see the mountain at golden hour. The resort also will host activities for the whole family.

Ticket prices fluctuate depending on that day's demand. As of Friday, the lowest price was around $12 per person, though visitors should expect to pay around $25 per person. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the most expensive.

Each ticket comes with a $10 resort credit.

It won't be long before the slopes are open to skiers, though. The resort reported its first snowfall dusting the peaks on Sept. 21.

Slopes are scheduled to open Nov. 22.

Snowbowl is located on the western slope of Mount Humphreys in the San Francisco Peaks at 9300 N Snow Bowl Road, Flagstaff.
