Antonio Pierce ASU football gentlemen's club recruiting revelation has social media abuzz

The NCAA handed out an eight-year show-case penalty to former Arizona State football defensive coordinator Antonio Pierce , now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders , for recruiting improprieties resulting from the NCAA's investigation into actions during the COVID-19 shutdown.

The report detailed the violations, saying that Pierce "arranged for or personally provided free meals, apparel, airfare and/or lodging for 27 prospects, often in collaboration with the booster, who was the parent of a then-football student-athlete in the program. In addition to violating the dead period rules, the meals, entertainment — which included taking a prospect's parents to a gentlemen's club — and travel expenses associated with the unofficial visits also constituted impermissible recruiting inducements."

The NCAA identified the "booster" as Regina Jackson, the mother of former ASU QB Jayden Daniels, now with the Washington Commanders.

As you might expect, the "taking a prospect's parents to a gentleman's club" violation stuck out to people on social media.
