Devin Booker will miss Friday’s preseason home game against the Detroit Pistons with right ankle soreness.

The Suns will start Tyus Jones, Bradley Beal, rookie Ryan Dunn, Kevin Durant and Mason Plumlee. This will be Dunn's first start.

Booker played the first two preseason games, scoring a total of 22 points on 8-of-25 shooting. Sitting Booker is a precautionary move.

The Suns also will be without Jusuf Nurkic (left middle finger) and Grayson Allen (sore Achilles).

Allen missed Tuesday's game against Detroit at Michigan State University when the Suns listed him out for personal reasons while Nurkic hasn't played this preseason after injuring his finger during training camp.

The Suns will play their fourth preseason game in eight days Sunday at Denver.
