Rick Sands – a well-known member of the Burien business community – is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being admitted to the ER last Monday with a severe, unidentified lung condition.

Sands works as a Real Estate Broker at RE/MAX All City in Burien.

Sands’ daughter, Olivia, has started a GoFundMe page, and has shared updates on his critical condition and the ongoing efforts by doctors to diagnose and treat the illness.

“His entire medical team has been truly extraordinary,” Olivia said. “They are some of the most caring, hard working people I have ever met and have spent time with both my dad and I answering every question and walking us through every step of this process. They are the true heroes in this world.”

The family remains hopeful, but they acknowledge that even if Sands pulls through, he faces a lengthy hospital stay and months of rehabilitation.

The family is asking for financial assistance from those who can contribute, though they emphasize that any form of support, including prayers and positive thoughts, is equally appreciated.

“We are working to prepare for his new reality,” Olivia shared, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from the community.

Those wishing to contribute or follow updates on Rick Sands’ condition can do so through the GoFundMe page:
