There’s probably no more popular time travel movie in the history of cinema than Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future. Zemeckis’ new movie sort of looks like a time travel movie too — of a much different sort. Instead of a DeLorean, his Here has ......

What it Means if You See a McDonald’s With Turquoise Arches Instead of Yellow
The McDonald's logo remains one of the most recognizable not only among fast food restaurants, but all brand names. The chain's trademark "golden arches" lets fast food-seekers know what they're going to get. But what happens if those arches are no longer golden?. Where Is There a McDonald's With Turquoise...
Someone in a New Hampshire Facebook Group is Trying to Sell a $100 Bill for $500
Well, this is hilarious. No one is letting this guy get away with this. I don't want to call this man out by name, but if you follow yard sale pages in New Hampshire on Facebook, chances are you have seen this hilarity ensue. Now look, I love a yard...
3 Favorite, Nostalgic Stores We Should Bring Back to the Maine Mall
I know I'm not the only one who's been experiencing the disappointment every time one of our favorite stores get taken away from us. It started four years ago, when Forever 21 got discontinued out of the blue in 2020. It's since been replaced by H&M, which I'm not entirely too upset about (but I do still miss a good Forever 21 romp with the girls). This is the first store we should bring back for nostalgia reasons.
Severe New England Storms Possibly Prove Behavior Fact in Dogs
Thunderstorms aren't really a rare occurrence throughout the warmer months across the country, but especially in New England. With the stereotypical, ever-changing New England weather pattern, storms can happen at any moment really, considering all the shifting warm and cold fronts. New England Tornadoes. June 2024 may be remembered for...
Maine State Aquarium Set to Open Today With All-New Touch Tank
It's been four years since the Maine State Aquarium closed, and it is back open today!. According to the Boothbay Register, the Maine State Aquarium initially closed in 2020 because of COVID-19. That's when they did an inspection and found that the building (over 30 years old) had severe damage. The Maine Department of Marine Resources, which owns and runs the aquarium, found big problems in the walls, floor, and electrical system thanks to saltwater corrosion. They did not anticipate being closed for so long! But then the aquarium was plagued by the same problems many businesses faced: supply chain and labor shortages. They made the initial exciting announcement back in May.
New Hampshire Mom Starts Facebook Group That Has Helped Thousands of Moms Statewide
In January of 2020, Natasha Peterson, a mom from New Hampshire, had a crazy and brilliant idea. She wanted to create a “free items only” mom group focused on paying it forward. The group would help moms get things they need for their kids, as well as provide a place where moms could pass along items they no longer need.
Maine Now Recognized as One of the Top States to Live in the US
I've grown up as a lifelong Mainer. I've tried moving away once or twice, but it never really stuck. Even if I did manage to head somewhere else for a while, I've always come back. It's a classic case of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I mean sure, you can certainly find some superficial reasons to not be that fond of Maine, but no matter where you go, you'll find reasons to not like it.
Memorial at Maine’s Elephant Mountain Honors Victims of B-52 Crash
There's a hike in northwestern Maine that has intrigued me for a long time. It has nothing to do with its level of difficulty or part of a bigger network. It's a hike that doubles as a somber history lesson. It's the B-52 Flying Fortress crash site on Elephant Mountain in Piscataquis County.
Maine Casting Calls: Your Ticket to Stardom
The glitz and glam of Hollywood captures the attention of Americans starting from an early age. Beyond celebrities' Instagram Stories and red carpet poses, there are actors out there paying their dues and honing their craft in pursuit of a sustainable career or a fulfilling sideline. Submitting to casting calls is a big part of that journey.
Ugh, Deer Flies! I Just Discovered a Stupidly Easy Way to Outsmart Them
If your neighborhood is anything like mine, there's a specific two-week period in the summer when the temperature is steamy, the breeze is non-existent, and it happens. This happened precisely two days ago, just after a pretty bad thunderstorm. I walked out, inhaled the gloopy air, and a deer fly landed on me and bit HARD. It was waiting for me.
Portland, Maine, Holding July 4th Fireworks Celebration With Live Music This Year
Maine's largest city has typically held the state's largest and most expansive fireworks show to celebrate the July 4 holiday. But for many onlookers, the last three years have felt a little underwhelming. A lot of that was tied to the lack of live music that had accompanied the fireworks...
Here’s the 4th of July Weather Forecast for Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts
It is hard to believe that we are just a few days away from Independence Day. This year has really flown by, hasn’t it? It seems like New Year's Day was just yesterday. Now, we're already into summer. Even though most holidays are dependent on the weather (to a...
Maine Ranked as one of the Top States for a Good Night’s Sleep
In real life, no one sleeps worse than I do. I struggle a lot with sleep. Like, more than most people should. Although I don't have sleep apnea or anything like that, I have sooooo much trouble staying asleep. I can fall asleep like a champ, but usually a few hours later, I'm wide awake. There are times I'll go to bed at like, 9:30pm, and I'm awake for the day at 11:45pm. It's brutal.
Is It Illegal to Ride in the Back Seat Without a Seat Belt Anywhere in New England?
Let's start off by saying that wearing a seat belt belt in the front seat is the law in all but one state. You know I'm talking about New Hampshire, where there is no seat belt law at all. Wear it, don't wear it, it's totally up to you. And that includes the back seat.
Ranking New England’s Top Casual Dining Chains: An Experimental Series, Part 1
Alright, New Englanders. I need your help—big time. Last week, an enormous debate was sparked between myself and my colleagues: what is the best casual dining chain in New England?. I'm talking about sit-down restaurant chains, so not Chipotle or Dunkin. Perhaps the requirement is that the restaurant must...

Did you know that New Hampshire has over 800 lakes and 19,000 miles of rivers and streams, according to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services?. Considering the natural beauty of our state, this shouldn't come as a shock. We New Hampshirites are really lucky when it comes to the scenery around us, and tourists flock to the area to experience it firsthand.
