A new business has opened its doors in downtown Bainbridge. Nightfall Books offers a varied selection to choose from, ranging from romance to history, science fiction to politics, as well as manga, and even a shelf dedicated to both Georgia authors and stories set in Georgia. The store even features a room dedicated to children’s books.

Owner Kendyl Peak has been planning this for several months, with Friday being Nightfall’s grand opening, after a soft opening over the past week.

“I plan on growing as I go,” she said, referring to the store’s variety of books. The store also offers other items like art supplies, t-shirts and puzzles.

The store will be closed on Mondays and Sundays, open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Tuesday to Friday, and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays.

Peak stated that most of the feedback she heard during the soft opening had been positive.

“Everyone’s really been impressed and excited about having a bookstore in Bainbridge,” she said. “I haven’t heard anything negative, everyone seems to be very positive about it.”

Nightfall Books is located at 214 East Water Street.
