SEHS Punter Colby Beyer Wins Competition at Florida State University Summer Camp
Stanhope Elmore High School senior punter Colby Beyer recently won a punt competition during a summer camp at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The competition featured more than 40 punters from around the country. After winning the competition, Beyer’s father, an alumnus from Florida State, tracked down Seminole’s Head Coach Mike Norvell, for a picture with the younger Beyer.
Florida State fall camp schedule: Seminoles set to start practice next week, road trip to Jacksonville in August
On Friday, a Florida State spokesperson announced the fall camp schedule for the Seminoles. Among the highlights is the two-day trip to Jacksonville, where FSU will practice at UNF on August 7th and August 8th. Mike Norvell also scheduled out two scrimmages, spaced a week apart on August 3rd and August 10th, to prep the Seminoles before the squad takes on Georgia Tech a fortnight after.

Public Service Commission to take up plan to add new fossil fuels to energy mix
ATLANTA – Georgia energy regulators already have approved a request by Georgia Power for a significant increase in electrical generating capacity to meet the needs of a growing state.
