    Maddox continues winning ways at dog shows; seeks sponsors for finals

    Raley Beth Maddox and her Australian Shepherds had a great weekend May 10-12, in Baker Florida at the Florida Panhandlers Australian Shepherd Club.

    Raley and her dogs showed in four different conformation shows. Raley showed Champion Los Suenos No Fairy Tails at Jamara (Pixie) in the Junior Handling classes on Friday night and took Best Junior. She and Pixie won Best Junior on Saturday morning and again on Saturday afternoon. Raley and Pixie swept the Junior Handling classes by winning Best Junior on Sunday morning.

    Raley then moved into the adult classes with her other three co owned dogs. Raley and Dovehawk’s Blackfin (Tuna) competed in the Altered Dog Open Black Class. Raley and Tuna earned Tuna’s first point toward his championship on Friday night. Raley and Champion Los Suenos No Fairy Tails at Jamara (Pixie) also competed in the Altered Best Of Breed Ring.

    Raley and Sunfire Stars Fell on Alabama in November (Flaire) took second place in the Open Black Intact Female ring.

    Raley and 3:16 Talk to Me Goose at Wonderdog (Goose) competed in the Intact Male Open Blue class. Raley and Goose took 2nd place in their class.

    In the Saturday afternoon show, Raley and Dovehawk’s Blackfin (Tuna) competed in the Altered Dog Open Black Class. They took Reserve Winners Dog in the Altered Show. Raley and Champion Los Suenos No Fairy Tails at Jamara (Pixie) competed in the Altered Best of Breed Show. Again, Raley and Sunfire Stars Fell on Alabama in November (Flaire) took second place in the Open Black Intact Female ring. Raley and 3:16 Talk to Me Goose at Wonderdog (Goose) competed in the Intact Male Open Blue class. Raley and Goose took 2nd place in their class.

    In the Sunday morning show, Raley and Dovehawk’s Blackfin (Tuna) competed in the Altered Dog Open Black Class. They took Winners Dog in the Altered Show. Dovehawk’s Blackfin (Tuna) and co-owner Kimberly Cecil took Best of Breed in the Altered Show. Raley and Champion Los Suenos No Fairy Tails at Jamara (Pixie) competed in the Altered Best of Breed Show.

    Again, Raley and Sunfire Stars Fell on Alabama in November (Flaire) took second place in the Open Black Intact Female ring. Raley and 3:16 Talk to Me Goose at Wonderdog (Goose) competed in the Intact Male Open Blue class. Raley and Goose took first place in their class.

    With success in these shows, she has earned enough points to be invited to compete in the ASCA Junior Handling Finals at ASCA Nationals in Nebraska in October.

    With expenses increasing, Raley seeks sponsorships to help get to Nebraska, which will be an 18-hour drive.
