BPD and KCSO host free family events over the weekend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office are set to host individual free events over the weekend for the whole family to enjoy.

Summer Nights with BPD

BPD is inviting the community to their “Summer Nights with BPD” event Friday. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greystone Park on Mountain Vista Drive.

You can expect food, music, demonstrations, games and more.

Cones with a Cop

Stop by the Rite Aid store on Airport Drive to enjoy free ice cream for KCSO’s “Cones with a Cop” community event. Deputies will be serving up Thrifty ice cream from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Families can enjoy free ice cream cones and chat with the deputies.
