    Bakersfield teens participate in Distinguished Young Women competition

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Young women from all over California showcased their talent, culture and brilliance at the annual Distinguished Young Women of California showcase at the Fox Theater.

    Two of the 23 young women who showcased their skills are from Kern County. Camryn Eubanks of Shafter and Madison Ma of Bakersfield participated.

    Tanisha Patil of San Diego was chosen as the Distinguished Young Woman for California for the class of 2025. She walked away with a $5,000 scholarship.

    In all, $11,000 in scholarships were handed out at the showcase.

    The national finals take place in June 2025.
