Political analysts discuss Biden dropping out of the 2024 Presidential race

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET)—Political analyst, Neel Sannappa, believes President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the presidential race and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris positively resets the presidential race for the Democratic Party.

“Having someone new at the top of the ticket…I think it’s gonna be beneficial. I think it’s going to boost a lot of democratic voter turnout especially when it comes to younger voters,” Sannappa says on Harris’ race against former president Trump.

While democratic Sannappa believes Harris’s endorsement will overrun Trump’s race, political analyst, Cathy Abernathy, states there to be no difference.

“Will I say nothing has changed, come on, Harris has been part of the Biden-Harris Administration, everything Biden has promoted she has been the cheerleader for,” Abernathy adds on.
